The image shown in picture is a slum situated in Tambaram Municipality. The slum dwellers are very much depended on the infrastructure facilities provided by the state government. In the picture we can see a better road for transportation is provided in slum when compared to another slums in India. The people relies on water tanks which is filled every alternative days for drinking and cooking purpose. Electricity is provided through electric poles. Separate waste bins are provided for degradable and non degradable wastes. The government also provided a public toilet complex which is utilized by majority of the slum dwellers.
