In my country (Venezuela) most of the buildings are made with concrete and steel, is not common at all to see in big structures a different type of material when you take a look around the city. However, in the slums you can see a change when it comes to materials because they look for cheap ways to build their home, using materials as aluminum, mdf wood and bricks. When it comes to new materials, we luckily are in the places where you can find bamboo for example, but we need to educate (architects, engineers, urbanist) about the benefits of this sources and also educate governments about how beneficial could be to take into account this movement.
