I shot this picture last June when I went to Copenhagen for a university journey. As shown, I was on a little boat, a widespread public transportation system in the Danish capital. The impact and our dependency on infrastructure are clearly visible into two different scale points of view. The first one is the urban scale: the public transportation through boats is practically fundamental for the city, due to its extended dimensions and its physical structure. With no doubts we can assert that without any electricity source this kind of infrastructure system is completely useless. Same issue for the under construction bridge in the background: it will be an important element for the urban scale connection, linking the territory around with Copenhagen. In this case, electricity is crucial because the bridge has a mobile system that pulls back its central part, allowing the large commercial boats to cross this canal section.
