Being from Buffalo, NY- a city notorious for harsh winters- I have found that potholes are significant issue. Every spring when the snow melts, new potholes have developed, some large enough to cause damage to a vehicle, or force the vehicle to swerve around them which can cause an accident. My app, therefore, would be a pothole reporting and alert system. People can snap a picture of the pothole and submit it with the location. It will go to the city so they are aware of the hazard and will also be marked on a map for all other users. They can then plan a route that avoids major potholes or at least be prepared for them.
