I choose this picture because it is an example of local construction embedded in a globalized world. The image shows the contrast between a house that was constructed with cement blocks (the adjoining house) and the vernacular house that was built with loam and Straw, both are placed in a pavement street. In the corner of the vernacular construction also we can appreciate the way the dweller solved the electricity need (as part of a globalized world).
