My hometown is located at the river rhine which provides many ecosystem services for the region. Provisioning Services: It is a popular freetime activity to go fishing in the river. Regulating Services: The river and the beach areas nearby are very green and provide not only a good local climate, but the trees in these areas contribute to the carbon sequestration of the whole city. Habitats or supporting services: As shown in the picture, the river is home to not only the vegetation but also to a rich and diverse group of animals. Cultural services: The river rhine is the most important and popular spot for recreation to the local population. Not only that but also every tourist will visit the river since most of the historical sites are located nearby.
