Here we have a very awesome example. This picture was taken by me in a tour I did with my previous school through the center of Medellin. What you see in the middle of the picture, is the new "Tranvia de Ayacucho," which is a type of metro that was installed in the middle of a really low class neighborhood in the north east mountain of Medellin. I chose this picture to reflect my idea of stocks and flows, because even though the new transportation system is a clear example something that flows, but at the same time is a stock, it brings new flows of people to this part of the city. At the far center of the image, you see a graffiti in the brick wall. This is just one of many, that represent the welcoming of the train to this place. People had to move around, like you see the raw concrete wall that shows an old structure adapted and demolished, but new businesses were created, therefore new stocks and flows for this neighborhood that are measured in new paths for people to walk, and cars to transit. New art, images, and a seed that was planted for a new approach to an average bad neighborhood (Comuna). So to conclude, transportation, in the form of stock, but also flows(cars, motorcycles, and bicycles,) allows the flows of people, goods, and new services to the place being analyzed in the picture.
