The picture shows Piazza del Duomo, the well-known central square here in Milan. The cathedral prevails, with its gothic-style, on the open space and it establishes visible relations with the surroundings architectures. Other visible informations are the function of the perimetral buildings (offices/bars/restaurants/shopping) and ,due to the people moltitude, a preliminary importance of this urban junction. The stopped people life contains a lot of invisible information such as the individuals destinations or their origins. Talking about people means we could trace their social-status too: it is quite interesting how many elements of our lives remain invisible to the eye but traceable in the data we produce. Similarly the commercial value of the spaces situated in the square and the dynamic density of the flows enrich the invisible data assets.
