The dominant fossil fuels produced in Costa Rica (including import) is the oil product, then geothermal and hydro. The dominant fossil fuel is oil and is mainly used for transport with 1 932 ktoe. (2017). Geothermal and hydro join in power station and are used mainly for for electricity with a 62% (677 ktoe) in other types of consumption and a 20% (174 ktoe) in the use of industry. Costa Rica is currently moving toward a carbon-neutral nation, and want to reach this by 2021. Its focussing on decarbonising transportation. Where how I mention before the dominant fossil fuel is oil and is mainly used. I agree with this process and government intensive for using cleaner vehicles, particularly electric cars, buses and bicycles around the city. This image was not taken by me.
