This picture has been taken picture taken in my neighbourhood, in a Santarém city, Portugal. We can see some residential buildings designed by the same architect with shops on the first floor, 2 cars on a road, some trees, also a trash, and some traffic signs. Also next to the first shop we can see some people. It is purely a residential area but can be busy sometimes because it is a avenue that leads to the main hospital of this city, but there are also many other services in this avenue. Santarém and specially this neighbourhood, has a lot of elderly people once young people get out of the city to study and find the first job, once it is near to the capital of Portugal, Lisbon. It’s an area that some people want to live in because it’s a bit more quiet and cheap than in the historic centre. Specially health professionals look forward to live here due to the proximity to the hospital. With all said I think it’s evident that this area would need more social housing. With this done, this neighbourhood would be more balanced in terms of quality of life and age groups
