This is business center construction in Stockholm, Karolinska district. In Sweden it is important for clients and architects (with the encouragement of goverment) to use locally produced construction materials in order to minimize the carbon footprint with material transport. Even though local material usage is important, lowering the building cost is also a priority as it is everywhere. In the picture; • We see a Crane which is provided by Liebherr which is a Switzerland centered international company. • We see stainless steel perforated metal facade panels which are drawn by the Swedish architects but produced and provided by a Lithuanian firm. In overall steel construction, concrete components, containers, building site fences, window glazing etc are swedish produced but construction consultant firms, part of the architect team, and part of the builder team are international.
