1. What are the dominant fossil fuels used in your country? The dominant fossil fuels used in Denmark are oil, gas and bio/waste. 2. Where are the dominant fossil fuels mainly used for in your country? (e.g. transport, industry, non-energy use etc.) The diagram shows that oil is used for export. However, within the country fossil fuels are mainly used for transportation (roads), housing, commerce and public services. 3. It is your task to create a new policy in order to improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy of your country. How would you do that? Think of how you can improve the sources and the consumption of energy. Denmark is already on it's way to increase the usage of friendly and sustainable energy sources. For instance, it is well known for its wind turbines (the local weather is perfect for that). Even the electricity companies are advertising themselves by where from they get the energy, for example, the wind turbines from the northern part of Denmark and thereby providing electricity as a 'local product' for a lower cost. It is also very popular to use bicycles for transportation. This leads to reduction in CO2 emissions. Additionally, it is more and more common to see electrical cars on roads (especially Tesla). This is also something that shopping centers have noticed and therefore have provided couple of charging stations at the parking lots.
