This is from the 2nd arrondissement in the centre of Paris. Visible information This is a narrow street with a lot of shops. It is shared between cars and walkers and there is construction. We can see some green area at the end of the street which would tend to indicate that this is a leisure area. There are also trashcans which are typical of residential buildings which indicate that there are people living in this street and it is not just commercial buildings. Two "invisible information" - usage pattern (people are walking in the street and not on the sidewalk which would indicate that car passage is rather infrequent) - high centrality (many restaurants so there must be many people coming) How can one of the above invisible information become knowledge and participate in the city planning The usage pattern could be taken into account to see if there is a need to facilitate deliveries to restaurants, or on the contrary forbid cars other than delivery trucks to enter the street, making it even more walkable.
