1 - The dominant fossil fuels used in Portugal are: oil, coal and gas. 2 - Based on the Sankey diagram, the dominant fossil fuels are mainly used for: Transportation, Industry and Other ( residential, commercial and public services, agriculture/forestry, fishing and non-specified). 3 - My main focus of implementing a policy/strategie would be on mitigating the context of oil usage in the area of Transportation, because it has a significant percentage and futhermore, most of the oil is imported. With this in mind I would create a policy to promote the use of electric transports, and even the use of biogas for public transports (bus, police cars, etc). Tax benefits are always a good stimulation and , by he other hand, some regulamentation that innibits the inhabitants of using their own cars in some areas. Creating more appealing pedestrian routes and bicycle lanes is also an important strategy to mitigate this problem.
