This photograph was taken in a settlement in New Delhi which shows an interesting co-existence of built-mass with agricultural practice. A small group of kids stand on a boundary wall of a field and fly kites during the month of August. The hidden information which can be extracted are as follows - 1. The gap between social paradigm and a relationship between open spaces and built masses. 2. Information on imbalance of ecology with built mass and the impact calculation to plan a balanced human settlement system. 3. Economical pursuit of agriculture amid a settlement in terms of local produce and consumption. This information is local and has been extracted in terms of the context of a particular settlement. Local parameters and measures which shall provide positive results in planning any micro or macro settlement system.
