FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"

From this photograph, the visible information that can be obtained are the buildings, the shops and advertisings. Also, the city of Shanghai it gives a little space to nature. For instance, there are trees which belong to a park (PeopleĀ“s Square). On the other hand, the invisible information is that , in this area, people prefer to walk rather than take taxis due to the traffic in the city and the pollution levels. Since it is a pedestrian zone, transportation is not allowed (except for the train which is a tourist attraction). With the affluence of people, a study of the activity of the city, and traffic behavior, can be done. In the same way, there are a lot of international shops (Zara), which suggests that the city is opened to external commerce (in comparison to old China). With this invisible information, a further study internationalization and modernization of the city can be performed.
