FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"
Uploaded on 2020-06-22 by Christian Oliver Sumugat
I am Christian Oliver Sumugat. This shot was taken last October 2019 at Makati Ayala Circuit. As you can see, the city has been divided into two districts namely the business district and the residential district. The low rise buildings you can see are the residential district and the high rise buildings are the business district. One invisible information we can extract here is the flow of economy that goes within each company within this city. The ups and downs of each stock market is clearly concentrated in this city. Another invisible information is the heat island effect. The number of high rise concrete structures greatly affects the amount of heat being absorb in the area and is because of lack of trees in the area. With the given invisible information, we must use this knowledge to also consider its environmental impact. With the rise of economy must also be the rise of environmental awareness and sustainability. The future plans of developing a city must also have a certain way of breathable air despite the number of high rise buildings.
