Local Air App: An interesting idea would be an app that measured the air quality and exact temperature of your specific neighbourhood based on the closest localized sensor data. Instead of getting averaged out readings like what is offered in some current apps, individuals and neighbourhoods would be better aware of the air quality and comfort in their own specific community. This could mitigate heat stroke and respiratory issues for sensitive citizens replace costly personal sensors. Especially if the averaged reading are not accurately accounting for the Street Canyons and Urban Heat Islands of certain neighbourhoods. This data could be cross-referenced to averages shared by the municipality and other weather apps, users could learn about how the air quality and temperature of their neighbourhood differs from other areas of the city. This data could also be cross-referenced with historical statistics, saying for example, when the last time temperatures or air quality of this kind were reached, or how these numbers compare to national averages and global targets.
