Oil and natural gas 3) It is your task to create a new policy in order to improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy of your country. How would you do that? Think of how you can improve the sources and the consumption of energy. As Brazil is a huge country, transportation plays a big role when you talk about energy consumption. At the beginning og the 20th century we still have a major train system network and it was quickly dismantled to benefit the road truck system nationwide, incresing the demand for petrol. So, in order to improve the consumption of energy, I would make policies that provide incentives for other types of transportation. Secondly, what not everybody knows is that Brazil is the 5th worldwide windpower producer, and so windpower is the second largest source of energy in the country, hydropower is the first. So would give state incentives to maximize their production where its possible.
