This image was obtained thanks to the KENKU company, which is a family initiative located in the Amazon, to promote bamboo construction as a sustainable alternative. Ecuador has 4 regions, Insular Region, Cost, Sierra and Amazon and the construction materials and the type of building depend a lot on which region you are in because the climate and topography vary greatly. In the Amazon, GUADUA is used, which is a plant similar to bamboo. The indigenous culture of the population uses this material a lot to build their houses, however it is beginning to be used to create larger buildings due to their resistance.
