This picture was taken in North Quito city. This building is a well-known hotel named JW Marriot. Not only is an enigmatic building but also a vast construction. The information I can provide as an observer is not as large as if I will look for it on the internet. The globalization includes the massive cultural exchange, perhaps the knowledge of bamboo in construction subject is the result of this information swap. The picture is taken while I was driving the car. Due to the pandemic and quarantine restrictions law, I could not get out of the vehicle. Despite of the far photo taken at a distance, there are some recognizable materials in the photo such as reinforced concrete, glass and steel at the rooftop. In the past, Ecuadorian people used to build houses with cane, adobe and straw. The materials shown in the picture are used in most constructions around the globe, helping the development of new techniques and better application of sources.
