The affect on human: - Increase in pollution - Increase car accident - visual pollution - noise pollution - increase traffic - increase the level of anxiety and unhappy citizens. Insights: 1. Very long hours spent in driving in Riyadh city. Minimum 1 hour commuting by car from home (North Riyadh) to work (Central Riyadh). 2. Wide city and still expanding into north and east. The city is: 1.9 KM sqm2 The solution: short term: Set allowance time for heavy vehicles inside the city. Cap the number of vehicles heavy vehicles prohibited to enter certain zones in the city. Allow mid size heavy vehicles . long term: Design and build a ring-road around the city for heavy vehicles for fast track.
