Construction in Quito, Ecuador, has been growing exponentially in last years. Since new techniques are applied to the buildings. It can be mostly seen in the newly developed buildings but also in the small houses such as mine shown in the picture. Because it uses steel and concrete blocks. It is a mixture of steel and rock materials that demonstrate an advance in techniques. If we go back some hundreds of years, our local cultures used straw and mud to build houses and rocks to build temples. And if we compare it to now, we can see how it changed and how external techniques are applied in our country.
