There are many examples of stocks and flows in m y country, which are significant but i would like to talk about two, the water and the people (tourists). In Cyprus, because of the mediteranian climate some summers are very warm and dry, so in order to keep our enviroment green and have enough drinking water in our houses, government developed a several number of dams creating at the same time stocks of "water". In winter, the flow of water ends up from the raining and the mountains to the dams for storage, and then continues its flow to be used in various activities. Specifically, th image illustrate the dam of Kannaviou in Paphos. Another important example is the stock and flow of "people". The island of Cyprus is very famous as travel destination in summer, as a result to have not only a flow of thousands tourists some months of the year, but also a stock of people who move into the country to live permanently.This year because of the situation that COVID-19 disease created there is a flow of cypriot people who move from the central to the coastal cities and they are called local tourists.
