This photo is of the Philharmonie de Paris. It opened in 2015 after three years delay and a nearly doubled budget. France is a unique country when it comes to buildings, as it has long been a tradition since the days of the Eiffel Tower that all personnel and materials used on national sites such as this one be French. As such, both the architects and materials of this building are predominately French. That being said, what makes this building unique in France is the international intellectual ideas that went into its design. The French architect had a revolutionary idea for the main concert hall, wherein no spectator would ever be more than 32m from the conductor, and the acoustics aimed to be the best in the world. To do this, they consulted and employed experts from Japan, Australia, Austria, Hong Kong, and China for the design process, making this an international building in terms of the minds that brought this design to fruition. Because of this, this is a very unique building in France.
