The house in the picture shown is made of cement which is a material Ecuador does not produce. In this case, the country encharged of producing it is the United States. The relation between the image and USA is that both of these are directly related to what people in Quito consider to be pogress. If the words future, advance and quality could be physically represented, a house/building that resembles the modern house in USA would be the first choice. Another relation between USA and the image is that they both sell an idea.
