In the above mentioned project, the advanced construction process involved was the application of MIVAN technology. Mivan is an aluminium formwork system developed by an European construction company. In 1990, the Mivan Company Ltd. from Malaysia started manufacturing these formwork systems. This is suitable for constructing large number of houses of similar floor plan in a short span of time using room size forms to construct walls and slabs in one continuous pour on concrete. 3S : Speed (7-10 days slab cycle), Strength (concrete of grade M60 was used generally), safety (more seismic resistant). Even some skilled technicians from the company will aid in alignment of aluminum panels.So usage of these materials in India directly relates to importing materials and manpower from Malaysia. In this way, the building contains components of a globalized economy.
