Its economy was linked to the cultivation and export of flowers. Even today, some companies hold up to the pressure of importing flowers from Holland and many lands are still cultivated with roses, gerberas, lilies, turmeric flowers. The flows of this town are related to flowers, immigrant workers invested in the cultivation of land, local food still grown and tourism. The cultivated land instead represents the stock.
