Brisbane is a Sup-tropical city that experiences high temperatures and strong UV ratings. Within built up/ developed public areas such as the city centre, there are limited places that provide enough shade for citizens to take shelter in. The concept of the app allows citizens to rate their experience within a particular area of the city, recording their location and UV index and how they felt during this time. This information can be collected by the council so that they can look deeper into reoccurring hotspots and provide shade whether it be through small structures or trees.
