Three examples of stocks and flows that I analyzed in the city of Votuporanga are people due to tourism, density due to colleges and capital due to industries in the city. The first example, the main tourism in the city is the OBA Festival. During the carnival, the city that has approximately 80 thousand inhabitants doubles its population, increasing the flow of people and money, also generating capital stock. Next, due to the number of colleges, there is a large flow of students. Part of the students who are going to live in the city contributes to an increase in density. However, there are also non-residents, generating a population and road flow. Finally, there is the industrial sector that stocks capital. This sector is also responsible for the flow of workers since many do not live in the city, contributing to the high flow of transport. These examples of stocks and flows show how everything relates in a city and this can guide new measures to be taken regarding the city's master plan, such as the demarcation of the zoning that favors people and their permanence in the city, reducing the flow of traffic and increasing density.
