Job opportunities (whilst in the workforce) Recreation Possibilities Infrastructure Safety International Connectivity I live in Singapore – 1. Singapore (East) 2. Job opportunities 3. Elderly relatives 4. Recreation 5. Airport as an expat 90 Bike lanes – I am not in a position to cycle to work. 1. New Zealand – Hamilton – assuming I still need to work Family (elderly relatives), the climate and environment. Choosing a small city means no traffic congestion, however a small city is large enough in the North Island to travel on weekends to a variety of recreational activities , and has international stadiums, close to Auckland for an international airport which is important. 2. Mount Maunganui – retirement This location is close enough to family. The environment, near the coast and a more temperate climate. Recreational possibilities including outdoors walks and hikes and proximity to other cities. International connectedness, close to Tauranga airport. Safety, housing in apartments. 3. Gold Coast – Australia - retirement The Gold Coast is close to both New Zealand and Singapore, international connectedness. It is also multicultural. There are plenty of recreational possibilities, close to walks, the beach and sporting events, safety in terms of accommodation/apartments.
