In Hungary the dominant fossil fuels are oil and gas. They are mainly used for Transport and 'Other' purposes. In Hungary there is large potential in solar gain that is not yet exploited to its potential. That is why I would promote solar panels/collectors and support studies to improve their efficiency and their implementation. This could possibly be done in cooperation with nearby EU countries such as Germany and Switzerland that are far ahead in this technology. To develop solar as a more robust energy source would further require attention to energy management. Such as how the energy will be stored or used during sun peak hours and what alternative there is when there is little sun: clouds/night/winter. Lastly electric vehicles should be subsidized, they are a great alternative that also stores energy. I attached an image of the electric car service station designed by our office; WeCare architecture (https://wecare.hu/). The building is powered by solar cells located on the South side of the roof and the indoor temperature is regulated by a heat pump. It is our mission to work on projects with a sustainable goal that we believe in.
