Looking at the data from Centre of Liveable Cities, it shows that the denser the city, the less liveable it becomes. As a result, a key aspect in Singapore’s future development is the use of land. Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has been attempting to encourage the general public to participate in this discussion through educating them about Singapore’s Master Plan, the statutory land use plan which guides Singapore's development in the medium term over the next 10 to 15 years. The app, SG Drafting Table, will provide events such as Draft Master Plan 2019 and ones in the future, a digital space, where citizens are able to register and participate in planning competitions, share opinions and create conversations about land usage in their neighbourhoods and Singapore. The platform will allow those planning and the government to directly engage with the public.
