FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"
Uploaded on 2016-09-23 by Revathi Vipinachandran
What is visible here is the buildings, moving cars and going construction. What is invisible here is the number of cars travelling and statistical data of various things like the amount of water being used up from the water tanks. By obtaining the data consisting of the number of cars, we can find out how many people travel at a particular time. Here as there are less number of cars moving on the road and more number of cars parked on a Friday(holiday) at 11am it can be understood that less number of people tend to travel at this time on a Friday which may affect the commercial markets during these hours making the business dull at a particular time of the day. By taking a statistical record of the time spend for construction at various hours, at what time maximum labour work is done and at what time of the year it is done can be found. This can be used to find the pace at which a building can be constructed.
