Tokyo Station, when restored back in 2012. The technology for Red bricks were originally from Germany, when the Japanese government has invited the engineers back in the 19th century during the Meiji era, where modernization and industrialization was the core topic and given the transport and import from the continent were not an ideal, country was putting vast efforts on localizing the material production. After being burnt during the WWII, the Japan Railway has made its decision to restore the main building to its original shape. In order to balance between the classical facade with new technologies for upgraded resilience and maintainability towards enormous risks (including natural disasters such as earthquakes), installed new quakeproof techs and absorbers in the base, with the neo-classical facade of 'reproduced red bricks' (the original factory has been shut down couple years ago). This has been made possible by the support of numbers of potteries and companies to bring back the original colors with the use of new technologies and scientifically analyzing the ingredient which came to a conclusion that the local soils brought the closest color to the original. Stick to local makes the flavor close enough.
