The photo (Source: A Cidade de Votuporanga. Available at <http://www.acidadevotuporanga.com.br/Images/Noticia/Grande/00000000594826514374194815629.jpg>) shows the historic center of the city of Votuporanga, Brazil. As we can see in the photo, the shopping center, the main avenues, bus stops, and other public spaces are developed around and from the main church and the civic square. The two invisible information refers to vehicle traffic and the use and disuse of urban space. During the day, the flow of vehicles in the central region is constant, with peaks at work entry and exit times and lunch, causing congestion at those times. However, at night the vehicle flow decreases dramatically. The same happens with the use of the square, but in reverse order, during the day it becomes a parking car and at night it receives ephemeral facilities for the informal commerce and leisure of the population. With the data of the times and places of congestion and the reason for this, studies can be carried out to invest in public transport lines that supply that need, reducing the emission of pollutants while decreasing the flow of vehicles and guaranteeing an accessible displacement for the population, making the city more sustainable.
