The image shows a slum area called Dharavi. Following are the points visible: 1. The slum is located along the rail tracks 2. The houses are closely constructed 3. Temporary structure materials are used to construct these to keep the cost low. Following are two problems I have identified 1. Poor living environment considering the houses all touching each other, very little space left for internal roads, connects or to facilitate any infrastructure. 2. Since it is along the railway tracks which are in the low lying area, it is prone to flooding and because the houses are constructed poorly, more chances of water logging in the house thus loss of resources.
