1. Criteria: job opportunities, environment, housing, healthcare, safety. 2. Kyiv was my first choice among cities in Ukraine. First reason – job opportunities. Kyiv is the business, political and cultural center, and hosts the headquarters of most international organizations present in Ukraine. Second is good connectivity across Ukraine and internationally, with two airports, offering the most routes among all airports in Ukraine. Third – abundance of cultural and recreational opportunities. Fourth – environment, Kyiv is one of the greenest cities nationally. Fifth – safety, although this greatly depends on the city district. 3. I would rate my place of residence 60, and Kyiv in general – 50. 4. There is room for improvement for all criteria. For instance, housing is generally available, but policy about the condition and pricing (at least partially) can be put in place to guarantee necessary livability and safety conditions, as many houses are over half a century old and need to be better maintained. 5. London, UK; Frankfurt, Germany; Singapore. In my opinion, these cities have a variety of job opportunities, good environment with enough nature within the cities, excellent international connectivity, cultural events and networking opportunities, and I would rank safety quite high.
