I would like to talk about Pune city, India with few examples- Pune is a cultural hub of the state; therefore history plays a vital role in the development and planning. The stock we can consider here is artifacts, substances in the museums or art galleries and historic places that display the city's authenticity. Designers and planners are bound to take this aspect into consideration during Development plans. Secondly, the city is also known as the oxford of the East; with its globally accredited education. Universities and institutional infrastructure forms an important stock of the city and attracts many national students. It has also led to the emergence of Information Technology hub and draws a lot of migrants for employment opportunities. Here, the migration of people leads to the flows in the population density of the city. Lastly, there are two main rivers Mula and Mutha; which run through the city fabric. The banks of these rivers provide rich vegetation, outdoor places and economic opportunities for few people. These rivers merge into a large water reservoir or a dam known Khadakwasla; which is the major water source for the city. This water flow network again forms an important stock.
