Uploaded on 2020-04-27 by Haifaa AlKhedhari
The location shown in the picture is the Waterfront in Kuwait City. What is clearly visible is that parking area and the beach are separated by a wide walkway that is relatively empty. Most people, as shown in the picture, are gathered by the beach. The first invisible information to be obtained from this is that the gatherings occur by groups rather than individuals, whether they are friends or family. Another invisible information is the activity occurring in the location in relation to the travel behavior of the visitors. We can analyze that people park their cars, walk straight ahead and enter the beach, completely neglecting the walkway in between. By analyzing the travel behavior of the visitors we can conclude that the wide walkway is neglected. Seeing as Kuwait as high temperatures throughout the year, the trees should be larger in order to provide more shade making the a walk in the morning bearable. Secondly, seeing as it is wide, a bike lane could be integrated to create a diverse dynamic by the waterfront. This is encourage more people with different hobbies to visit the space making it a more lively area.
