2: Unfortunately, there is no data available. 3: I don't think that the UHI effect is a very important topic for our city. The city is between 600 and 800 MASL, so therefore we only face a few days per year in summer time these effects. The city part with the most density is the old town where we have lots of narrow alleys that spend a lot of shadow, buildings are only 3 to 5 storeys high. In the future, it will be an important issue within the spatial planning of our services and industrial sites around railway stations. The huge discussion in Switzerland in the last years was more the topic of finding ways for more density in the construction of buildings as landspace is very rare in Switzerland. It will be interesting to combine the findings of the UHI effect in future projects where higher multiple store buildings are planned. 4: There were several discussions in the local parliament about the effects of UHI, but only based on assumptions and general wisdom. There will be a public voting whether the city shall announce specific climate goals (available only in German). https://www.stadt.sg.ch/home/verwaltung-politik/demokratie-politik/abstimmungen-wahlen/vorlagen/_jcr_content/Par/downloadlist_54377087/DownloadListPar/download.ocFile/Abstimmungsbuechlein%20September%202020%20Ansicht.pdf
