This photoseries was taken at the University of the Philippines-Diliman Campus, the country's national university and the same place wherein I am currently taking my MA in Urban and Regional Planning. There are a lot of examples of stock-and-flow dynamics which can be observed in the campus. Here are just three of them: 1. Roads and Streets vis-a-vis Vehicular Traffic: the roads and the streets in the campus represent the infrastracture (stock) that carries the influx of people in and out of the university. This relationship also provides us an idea on the capability of the campus in terms of mobility. 2. College Buildings vis-a-vis Students: the flow of students in college buildings (stocks) is also relative to the flow of information in the campus (research/acad output). 3. In-Campus Internet Infra vis-a-vis Online Campus Database: the network infrastracture, which is maintained by the UP Computer Center, serve as the beacon of intergral datasets produced in and out of the campus. Studying any of these stock-flow relationships provides us on insight on how we can further improve the system. What tweaks work and what wouldn't. It also give us a way to understand the community more deeply.
