1. The photo was taken in Hong Kong. This is a street in Wan Chai, one of the earliest developed district of Hong Kong. Recent years, a number of Urban renewal projects have been undergoing in here. From this photo we can tell there are different modes of transportation: vehicle and trams. There are also various building styles. 2. The buildings in this photo are from at least 5 generations, from left to right: commercial building built in 1980s; pre-war "tong-lau" (Chinese style mix-use retail & residential building) built in 1880s; latest style of mix-use residential building built in 2000s; post-war "tong-lau" built in 1960s; and new-style residential building with elevator built in 1970s. This is a very interesting angle to tell the history of the district.
