"The impact of infrastructures such as transportation, water, health, and energy on urban form and architecture is a fact. With the beginning of the 21st century, buildings and cities are becoming physical and software systems in addition to collections of material and shapes. Water, energy, transportation and health infrastructure are thus crucial dimensions for the design of the future sustainable urban systems and the human habitat." In the picture you see an old building that is faling apart with even plants growing everywhere. In front of the house the electricity infrastructure/poles/wires are clearly visible and present. As it wasn't part of the original design, it was fit in a way it was possible afterwards. Designing with these infrastructures and dimensions in mind are crucial for a more sustainable, save, attractive surroundings.
