In this picture you can see a building by architect Rafael Viñoly located in Buenos Aires. Although Argentina is a concrete and steel producer, it is very common that the raw material is exported, manufactured in other countries and the re-imported back to the country of origin. In this case, you can notice that the roof structure it’s made of steel that could be local, but for sure the piece itself is imported, giving us an example of how construction these days are the result of a globalized economy.
