The three most important flows in the area are people, food and water. In this area of the Netherlands we live about 5 to 6 metres under the sealevel. This makes the flow of water into and out of the area very important. Especially now the climate is changing and the showers in the future (in the summer) will be more severe. The urban area should be adjusted accordingly. (How will the rainwater flow be organised in the whole area?) The flow of people could change in the future if the upper right corner of the map is transformed. Plans are being made for this area, which now consists of two tennis clubs, a library and a former partycentre. One of the most likely scenarios is the transformation to an urban area, because the shortage of houses (supply) in Mijdrecht. The flow of food seems to change already, especially with the corona crisis, delivery services are entering and leaving the district more frequently. It seems to be a trend with new delivery services being established. (The image is a screenshot of a governmental map about the area, discussed here)
