The image was clicked during Udaipur Trip Here, image showcase the area of City Palace Road, Udaipur. The information which are visible is that the road is covered on both sides with shops at ground floor and restaurants at top floors. The shops are raised at height as open drains runs below which leads to foul smell. There is no uniformity in façade architecture. The over-head wires disturbs the openness of the path. The most prominent visible information is the on-road parking, acting as an obstacle for clear vehicular movement and also obstructing the shops entrance. With the visible information, the invisible information is very clear that is lack of parking spaces, no path for pedestrian movement, need proper infrastructure, and the major issues are traffic management and sewerage system. The travel patterns of both vehicular & pedestrian by statistical analysis will help us to provide better transportation services. Detecting the attractiveness of an area due to people activity will help to determine the centrality of urban function. Now we can have better understanding of an area/cities, their dynamics and interaction between people & environment. This information will help to gain knowledge and hence design a livable smart/ sustainable city.
