Place- San Francisco- A view from Lombard Street overlooking the cityscape. Visible information- • Varied and distinctive topography • Green space- Lombard street • City identity and landmark-Lombard street • Medium density urban infrastructure • Less pedestrians on road • Water fronts • Huge urban sprawl Invisible information and learning points- The first knowledge we can draw from the photograph and the visible information is that the area has a distinctive topography. This could be a real-time, semi- structured information. The result is, it has led to less pedestrian movements and more usage of vehicles or public transport along the steep ascents and descents. People have been preferring the 'Muni- rail' (local train transit) for short distances as well. Eventually this is providing the way people are using the streets and rely on private or public mode of transit. The second information which is invisible from the photo is people are best utilizing the green pocket space in that topography. This forms a scheduled data, as the Lombard street has become a city landmark; people associate with. The community needs breathing pockets in the vast urban sprawl. This information provides the future planning of the cities with designing
