One of the building materials that can be found in the image is concrete. The bridge called 'Puente Gilberto Echeverri Mejía' (found just behind those trees), among other materials, is made up of concrete. It's an example of the global dimension construction has taken as this concrete is delivered to the city from different entreprises like Argos (colombian) and Cemex (mexican). Hence, these international companies extract the concrete from both, inside Colombian, and outside it. This again, shows how the building materials aren't locally extracted, but are part of this big system working all around the globe.
