SteveR - Racine, Wisconsin, USA 1. What are the dominant fossil fuels used in your country? The dominant fossil fuels used in the USA are Oil, Coal and Gas. 2. Where are the dominant fossil fuels mainly used for in your country? According to the Sankey Diagram, it appears in the USA that Oil is the dominant fossil fuel and is mainly used for Transport. 3. It is your task to create a new policy in order to improve the environmentally friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy of your country. How would you do that? In the USA, Oil is the main fossil fuel and it is used for transportation. Because of that, I would recommend the implementation of more public transportation systems and the use of green/hybrid/electric cars. Today in the USA there are not enough of these type cars on the road today. More people need to be enticed to purchase green/hybrid/electric car getting government tax breaks. I would also recommend more walking and biking trails to give people more options. I have attached a drawing I did that shows how my town could do this.
